There Are Two Entrances to Our Pickleball Courts - Which One You Use Depends on the Time

You can enter via the main entrance to the Lackawanna Station mall, or directly to the courts via the back entrance. The main entrance to Lackawanna Station is open during the mall’s opening hours, which excludes early mornings and late nights. Here are the times that you can use the front versus the back entrance.

Saturday: 8:00am - 8:15pm
Sunday: 8:00am - 7:15pm

Back Entrance (Direct to the Court) Hours
Monday - Sunday: 7:00am - 11:00pm

IMPORTANT: You won’t be able to exit through Lackawanna Station’s main entrances after they close. If you are arriving before the main entrances close, but leaving after they close, you should plan to park and enter at the back entrance so you don’t have to walk around.

Main Entrance Parking and Entering Directions

Parking

You can park in one of Lackawanna Station’s main parking lots, the South Lot or the East Lot. Both lots have an entrance off Bloomfield Avenue, and the East Lot also has an entrance off of Glenridge Avenue. The South Lot/entrance is next to the Popeyes, and the East Lot is behind the TD Bank. There is technically a small fee to park in either of these lots, however, we have covered it for you! You can park for free in any of Lackawanna Station’s main lots by scanning one of the QR codes posted in the lot and entering the code “PICKLEBALLMONTCLAIR”. Entering the Building

We are located in the back of the “Big Room”, which is the large, open space used for flea markets on the weekends. Once you enter the building through either of the main entrances referenced above, you will see signs directing you to the courts. The entrance is in the only opening in the back of the big room, and there is a Montclair Pickleball banner hanging next to the door.

Back Entrance Parking and Entering Directions

This is where to park and enter/exit for our back entrance. The building’s main entrance closes at 9:15pm, so if you enter the building before 9:15pm, but are leaving after, this is for you. I.e. if you are coming for an 8:00pm - 10:00pm open play, technically you could enter through the main entrance, but you will have to leave through the back entrance (so it’s best to park in back and enter through the back entrance).

Parking

Our back entrance is along Glenridge Avenue, just after the corner with Grove Street. It is directly across the street from the lot for Caggiano Memorial Home and the USPS office. It is best to park on the street. There are meters here, but parking is free after 7:00pm on weekdays, and all day on Sundays. Please reference the aerial image below.

Entering the Building

The back entrance goes directly to the courts. There is a stairwell and door into the back of the building. The entrance is about 60 feet from the corner of Grove Street and Glenridge Avenue. Please reference the image below.

How to Park for Free in the Main Lots Using Our Code

Step 1

Scan one of the QR codes that is posted in the parking lots or in the entrance to the building. It does not matter which QR code you scan. Here is an example of one.

Step 2

Open the link that pops up when you scan the QR code, and enter your license plate number. Then select how long you’ll need parking for.

Step 3

Click the “Add Promo” button.

Step 4

Enter the code “PICKLEBALLMONTCLAIR” and click “Apply”.

Step 5

Click the “Park for Free” button, and you’re all set!
